Running with scissors since 1970-something... Stay whimsical. Be incredible. It's your story.

A limbo champion walks into a bar. He was disqualified.

When The Karate Kid hit theaters in 1984 I had no idea that I would be instantly hooked! In fact, I went back to see it again and again until I owned it on VHS! The story of Daniel LaRusso and the inspiration of Mr. Miyagi captured my generation and, to this day, I can never get enough of this movie.

Watch the video: Me at Golf n' Stuff & Ali's House (The Karate Kid Film Locations Part 2). In this short video I visit the school campus used as Daniel and Ali's high school (Woodland Hills, CA), the house used as Ali Mills' house (Encino, CA), and Golf n' Stuff where Daniel and Ali had their first date (Norwalk, CA)!

Daniel-san... [taps his head] Karate here. [taps his heart] Karate here. [points to his belt] Karate never here. Understand? • Mr. Miyagi

Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it? [Class: No Sensei!] Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it? [Class: No Sensei!] Defeat does not exist in this dojo, does it? [Class: No Sensei!] • Sensei Kreese

Now use head for something other than target. • Mr. Miyagi

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature rule, Daniel-san, not mine. • Mr. Miyagi

What'sa matter, you some kind of girl or something? [makes punching gesture] Punch! Drive a punch! Not just arm, whole body! Hip, leg, drive a punch! Make "kiai." Kiai! Give you power. Now, drive punch. • Mr. Miyagi

Strike first, strike hard, no mercy, sir! • Cobra Kai Class

This is a karate dojo, not a knitting class. You don't come into my dojo, drop a challenge and leave, old man. Now you get your boy on the mat, or you and I will have a major problem. • Sensei Kreese

I tell you what Miyagi think! I think you *dance around* too much! I think you *talk* too much! I think you not concentrate enough! Lots of work to be done! Tournament just around corner! • Mr. Miyagi

Lesson not just karate only. Lesson for whole life. Whole life have balance. Everything be better. Understand? • Mr. Miyagi

To make honey, young bee need young flower, not old prune. • Mr. Miyagi

Better learn balance. Balance is key. Balance good, karate good. Everything good. Balance bad, better pack up, go home. Understand? • Mr. Miyagi

Make block. Left, right. Up, down. Side, side. Breathe in, breathe out. And no scare fish. • Mr. Miyagi

Sweep the leg. Do you have a problem with that? • Sensei Kreese

You trust the quality of what you know, not quantity. • Mr. Miyagi

Because Daniel, for man with no forgiveness in heart, life worse punishment than death. • Mr. Miyagi

Man who catch fly with chopstick accomplish anything. • Mr. Miyagi

Aha... here are the Two Rules of Miyagi-Ryu Karate. Rule Number One: "Karate for defense only." Rule Number Two: "First learn Rule Number One." • Mr. Miyagi
