Running with scissors since 1970-something... Stay whimsical. Be incredible. It's your story.

STAY WHIMSICAL.

Shadow boxes are the best way to display your keepsakes. Not only do they protect your collectibles but they showcase them in one place, keeping the contents free from dust. Shadow boxes are also excellent eye-catchers and conversation pieces for your friends and guest to enjoy. Great themes include travel, vacations, sports memorabilia, collectables, and more. These images highlight a few of the shadow boxes I've made, and will help fuel some great ideas for you. Have fun putting your shadow box together!

shadow box creations

Disney World Vacation Shadow Box. This box is some of our keepsakes from a family vacation to FL. I kept the box in mind and picked smaller items to put inside… A park map, ticket stubs, photos, pins, and sea shells from the beach.
Batman Collection Shadow Box. This box displays some of my Batman stuff. The box is big enough to display a small book, cars, a large action figure, a comic book, trading cards, and more!
Hiking Trip Shadow Box. The photo is my sons and I on the summit of one of the first trails we hiked in CO. I cut and fit the actual hiking pole my son is holding. There are rocks from the trail, a compass, and a piece of leather with the info on it, etc.
Dallas Cowboys Collection Shadow Box. This box displays some of my Dallas Cowboys keepsakes. The box is big enough to display a small pennant, stickers, a small action figure, buttons, trading cards, ticket stubs, and more!
Button Collection Shadow Box. Yes, I saved all my buttons since I was a kid. Rather than them hiding in a show box in storage, I created this box to display them in our man cave. It’s fun to look at every once in a while and reminisce.
Evel Knievel Smalls Shadow Box. This box displays and protects a few of my Evel Knievel collectables including a vintage comic book (’74), trading card (’74), and action figure (’72).
Leon Lett Gloves Shadow Box. Sports memorabilia is an obvious choice for a shadow box. It keeps people from touching and they’re great visuals. This box displays a pair of Leon Lett’s game-worn gloves (former def lineman for the Cowboys).
Hard Rock Pins Shadow Box. This box displays some my collectable Hard Rock Cafe’ guitar pins. I accented the box with guitar picks, some wound guitar strings, drum sticks, and some blues photos, etc.
My Goonies Adventure Shadow Box. This swashbuckling box displays some of my Goonies collectables and video props from my trip to Astoria to visit The Goonies film locations (Watch "My Goonies Adventure" in my videos).
Holland Trip Shadow Box. This box displays some of my keepsakes from my first trip to the Netherlands. I kept the box in mind and shopped for smaller souvenirs to put inside. Besides some obvious photos I included my museum ticket stubs, and some currency.
Ticket Collection Shadow Box. Finally got around to making one of these and it's a great way to display all the tickets I've saved from concerts, shows, and events I've attended over the years.
